this old place intl youth hostel exceeded our expectations during our recent stay in guilin. the staff's english was helpful and friendly, and they even helped track a package for us. the location was convenient, and being able to leave our luggage for free was a great help. overall, a great value for money.

The location of this hostel is absolutely amazing. It is situated next to a peaceful and beautiful lake, making it a central and picturesque spot. The rooms are well-equipped with essential amenities such as AC, comfy beds, electric kettle, and towels. The staff at the hostel is friendly and speaks good English, which is a bonus. They are also experienced in organizing tours, providing a convenient option for guests. The atmosphere at the hostel is relaxed and friendly, with added perks such as a cat, movies, free herbal tea.

One minor issue was the lack of hot water upon arrival at night. However, it was quickly resolved and hot water was available throughout the stay.

This hotel is in the perfect location, near a beautiful river and within walking distance of the city's lakes. The location of This Old Place Intl Youth Hostel was amazing, situated near the beautiful Lijiang river and close to the fine garden with the Glass Bridge. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the rooftop with plants and a gazebo was a perfect spot to relax. The breakfast, especially the pancakes and yogurt, was delicious. The helpful staff gave us advice in English on transportation and places to visit, made our stay even better. I would highly recommend this hostel for its great location, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and helpful staff.

The wifi on the third floor was not working properly. This was a bit inconvenient as I had to go to other areas of the hostel to connect to the internet.

Great value for money, clean basic rooms near the lake in a fantastic location. The staff spoke fluent English, were friendly, and gave helpful tips about the area. They even let us store our luggage while we visited the Longsheng Rice terraces.

During our stay at Guilin This Old Place Intl Youth Hostel, we were impressed with the great location and the very helpful reception staff. They spoke excellent English and were able to assist us with all our questions and provide detailed directions to the places we wanted to visit. They even marked the locations in Chinese on a map for us to show to taxi or bus drivers. The rooms were clean and the twin rooms were quiet, with amenities like a TV and coffee making facility. We appreciated being able to leave our large bags in their storage room while we were away. The lounge area in the hostel was inviting and not noisy, and the breakfast provided was sufficient to start the day. We also took advantage of the laundry facilities and the rooftop terrace. the staff recommended that we get a yha membership, which proved beneficial during the rest of our trip in China. our stay at Guilin This Old Place Intl Youth Hostel was a great way to start our visit to China.
